Introducing Landmark Lane
All projects start with a vision, a desire to remedy a problem and find a creative solution. With our design-build process, we have a whole team of dedicated people who take our clients' aspirations and build something tangible. Our client plays an integral role in the process, sharing with us their hopes and dreams. Together, we all work hard to imagine, research, discuss, debate, and reach solutions to make the project come to life.
Our newest project is Landmark Lane. Many hands have touched this project throughout its development. From sketches and paper models to site visits and detailed mock-ups, we were driven to understand the client’s vision for their new home.
Through our design process, we embark on a journey of exploration and discovery with our clients, considering significant memories, history, and experiences that shape how they use and feel about their home.
Our client purchased this property on Pigeon Hill in Rockport three decades ago. The existing house was built in the 1950s as part of post-war development. It served the family over the years as a place to enjoy nature - the breeze off the ocean, the coyotes howling in Dogtown, and the sunrise over the water.
As we reimagined this house with the client, we found ways to honor those cherished experiences and highlight their dreams about the future of this property.
Our client always had dreams about the future of this property. At the same time, the existing house served the family over the years as a place to enjoy nature - the breeze off the ocean, the coyotes howling in Dogtown, and the sunrise over the water. As we reimagined this house with the client, we found ways to highlight those cherished experiences.
Our client had dreamed about this project for decades, imagining how the new house would be used, the way it would interface with the land, and the lifestyle it would support. The design process involved listening to our client, processing those ideas, and creating many iterations to identify feasible solutions.
Our build team plays an integral role in evaluating design decisions throughout the development of a project. With Landmark Lane, our team weighed the advantages of renovating the existing house, salvaging some part of it, or starting with a clean slate. The analysis and insights gained from our years of expertise as builders serve the client by allowing us to make informed decisions during the design process.
